Thee Zara Blanket Scarf

Alright, alright, I admit it - I don't only shop at thrift stores. I visit the online mall monster pretty frequently too. It's (yet another) facet of my obsession with clothing. But because I'm a steadfast bargain hunter, I tend to buy new things only when they're on sale.

Stay with me this week as I take you through three gorgeous pieces I recently bought to wear this fall/winter season. Although they weren't as inexpensive as my thrift store finds, I waited until they went on sale and managed to get some pretty good deals. I'm thrilled to have some ultra current pieces to mix in with my second hand finds!

My first purchase was this ah-mazing striped blanket scarf from Zara. I don't usually pay retail for scarves because I already have an enormous collection and I see hoards of them in every thrift store I visit. But I will admit, this one is special and worth every dime of its full priced glory. It's so luxurious and cozy! This thing is literally 7' long and 3' wide! I had quite a time learning how to tie, drape, and swaddle it, but when the lesson was over, I'd found a new favorite.

I wore it with grey basics, faded blue jeans, and slick black accessories. I really loved the Burberry blanket scarves draped all over fashionable 'It' girls last February and Zara (of course) is the first (affordable) retailer to offer a comparable version. Tell me the truth; does this scarf make me look rich?
