J Crew Asymmetrical Zip Sweater
For my 'new' sweater fix of the season I chose the 'Merino Wool Asymmetrical Zip Sweater' from J Crew. The deep side zip makes it a little more interesting than your average crew neck, but it's still classic enough that I'll wear it for years and it works with just about everything I already own.

The wool toggle coat is a thrift store find I've had for 10 years. Maybe more! When I found it it was way too big to wear, but it was such a perfect specimen I had to have it. I thought it might fit a future boyfriend or my brother would want it, but no, it always stayed in my possession. Finally, it feels right - and it works with this sweater!
I chose white ankle boots and a matching white leather clutch because they felt sort of British Mod like the coat. I think white is a fresh departure from the regular ol' black boot that might be the obvious the choice for this outfit. A bright red scarf in a vintage print (worn half-under/half-over) gives the outfit the right dash of color - and I'm off!
