Accordion pleat skirt are everywhere right now! This skirt is a purchase from last year (last seen HERE) so to make it feel new I'm re-styling it with animal print booties and an oversized sweater that just kind of falls off my shoulder ever so nicely. Though I'm hardwired to avoid pairing pieces with similar volume, I think it feels modern to pair long flowy skirts with boxy sweaters. Perhaps the structure of the sweater is enough to counter balance to softness of the skirt. Though there isn't a defined waistline in sight, my husband actually commented how pretty and sexy he thought this look was. Amazing, right?! I love it when I'm dressed for me and it's appreciated by my most valued other.
