Appearing festive while mainting your professional decorum is a pretty tough feat, but it turns out Banana Republic has some great pieces for just this kind of multitasking. This pleated blue midi-skirt appears less sombre when paired with a berry-stained cashmere sweater and lipstick-red pumps. I've been focusing on building my wardrobe around select colors (oxblood being one of them), so I have quite a few pieces in this shade.
