An all black day-time look is a tricky enterprise. The sleekness all black screams at night doesn't play that same in broad daylight. I feel like it either looks way to sexy and severe or a little witchy. When doing an all black look for day, I find it's necessary to mix pieces with contrasting textures and throw in a statement making scarf to break up all the black. A tailored matte black waistcoat grounds a shiny leather leggings and a sleek leather boot, while a jumbo striped scarf adds a little interest to black on black on black.

I bought these leather leggings from Ann Taylor last fall and wore them to death. Seriously... they're an amazing (and affordable) cheat to actual leather leggings. I bought these Kendall and Kylie black leather ankle boots this year because I couldn't resist the super chicness of the pointed toe, the comfort of the moderate block heel, and the coolness of the chelsea style. LOVE. And soooo comfortable.
