You'll notice I rarely wear patterns and tend to stick to solid neutrals in my wardrobe. That is, unless we're talking about checked patterns like Windowpane, Buffalo, and GINGHAM. Although quite trendy this season (check out my favorite picks below!) it has a preppy primness and even a retro pin-up quality that falls right in line with my preferences for fashion. When I saw this weighty short from Zara I pounced because I knew it would be a fun departure from the monochromatic basics I usually love and wear.
