The Monday after a holiday always feels a little like show-and-tell. What did you do? Where did you go? How is your family? How about those Broncos? And if you're a blogger, the conversation inevitably turns to how many opportunities you had to 'create content'. Take any good selfies? Get any good ones of the spread? How about the sunsets? Do any blog worthy shopping?

So here's my show-and-tell!... My husband and I went down to Florida to visit his parents. The little luckies snow-bird on Manasota Key and live within walking distance of a beautiful state park beach. They're doing alright - dad moves a little slower, but his cognition seems better. Though we're constantly preaching about how much his dementia would slow if he could hear, he staunchly refuses to get a hearing aid. What a battle! Mom seems just ok, but still as charming and beautiful as ever. I like to let my husband have his parents to himself (and who are we kidding, I enjoy the alone time) so I had a lot of opportunity to photograph myself and the island. I didn't get the spread: I guess I was too busy eating two platefuls of it.. and pie.. and wine... and cocktails. The skies were lovely, although I didn't get the sunsets. My only shopping was for some new denim which was executed from the couch during the Broncos-Chiefs game (it's a household rivalry) until my husband's swearing forced me to retire to bed. Lights out, then back to the grind. So in the comings weeks, months, and years, may these photos remind me (and you) of the glorious times we had during Thanksgiving '14.
