Is it me, or has the entire world gone ape-shit for velvet?

I bumped into a local blogging buddy in late August and we were chatting about upcoming trends we were into and what we thought would be hot for fall, and after the usual chatter about suede and flares and over the knee boots and shit we kind of locked eyes and said... BUT VELVET... I NEED VELVET. Yeah... it was a creeper and it kind of took over!

I've spent countless shopping minutes scouring for my perfect velvet garment. I've found a lot fast-fashion pieces in simple shapes and colors that'll get the job done, but the cheaper fabrics aren't always flattering and certainly don't feel special. Although I bought (and returned) some quick fixes, I knew I wanted something better. Dezzal has been my go-to this season for finding trendy pieces that are off the beaten path and when I saw this blush shift in VELVET I knew I had to have it. It's absolutely perfect! It's a flattering (and classy) length and shape, it's perfectly darted with a full silk lining, and the color is so on-trend I can hardly stand it. Seriously! Dezzal has yet to disappoint me!
