To get me to leave the beach you'll have to drag me away kicking and screaming. And crying. Being in the sun with my toes in the sand and my hair full of salt water is the highest form of luxury I can think of. Caviar? Blech. Spa days? Meh. Shopping at Neiman's. Nah. (Well, maybe.) I love being on the beach so much I continue to wear my beach clothing even after I've stepped off the plane back at home. My recent trip to the Florida Keys is what inspired this collision of my beach coverup and work skirt. It's an outfit I like to call 'The Pina-Collider'. See what I did there?
Call me coconuts but throwing on a kimono over a simple pencil skirt and matching cropped-top is kind of a major way to look summery and laid-back, but ultra-hot and pulled together. My distance from a beach is only geographical now... I'm still there in my mind.
