Masculine Coat Over Weekend Basics

It's been quite a while since I've featured a thrifted piece of clothing! I used to LIVE for the hunt, but as I've continued to blog about fashion and shopping my taste in clothing has become more specific and my last few trips to the thrift store have been fruitless... until last weekend.
My parents brought my piano to me from Denver (yay!!!) and as they're avid thrift store shoppers (where do you think I learned it?) they asked if I would take them to the best spots in Kansas City. On our outing I found a handful of vintage silk scarves (fuel for the neckerchief trend I'm loving this fall) and a cable knit sweater, then as we were on our way out the door I spotted this wool herringbone coat by JG Hook. Now, I'm an absolute junkie for all coats and jackets, but right now I'm most obsessed with masculine cuts and boyfriend styles. The soft fawn color and the slightly oversized slouch feels fantastic over my favorite jeans and cashmere sweater. Made from 100% wool this coat couldn't be warmer. I love it when I find a new 'wear-anywhere' 'throw-on-and-go' piece. It seems the thrift store gods shined down upon me last weekend, eh?!
