Since we're on the backside of summer, I'm forced to reinvent all the warm weather pieces I already have instead of buying new ones. It's tough, but stores are starting to stock for fall and I'm too excited about buying a new handbag or pair of boots than I am about getting another sun dress. C'mon, fall! As the season carries on I find myself reaching for a few key pieces over and over again, this white Madewell shirtdress being one of them. It's so easy to care for (wash, hang, iron) and so easy to restyle. Last time you saw it I had it layered over a pair of vintage jeans; today I'm wearing it cinched (or not) with a pair of leopard statement sandals.

Since I've been living in this dress, it's occured to me I should see what Madewell has to offer in the way of pre-fall staples, and WOW, they have some cute stuff! The bucket bag (NEED IT!), a cute pair of patchwork jeans, and a slouchy oatmeal sweater are high on my list of sartorial priorities. Trendy styles are fun, but I NEED clothing I can live in, and Madewell seems to have a lot of items to fit that bill.
