You may remember last Fall when I dared to ask if skinny jeans are on their way out. Most said 'HELL NO!', but a few remembered the days of a lowslug paired of super flared jeans and how the shape just kind of made us feel sexy. I have to say, I'm totally feeling the flares again. I went on the hunt a few days ago for something new and happened upon this pair offered by Free People. Now, I rarely spend time reviewing products on retail websites, but after I put these babies on, I had to tell everyone considering the purchase HOW AMAZING THEY ARE! This is a flared jegging, people. Yeah. A jegging. Free People basically incorporated the slimming properties of a Spanx, with the comfort of yoga pants, with the sex appeal of your favorite jeans. I feel so good in these jeans, I immediately bought a second pair in a different color.
How to style this old shape ala 2015? I like a 'this is the first thing I found, thrown on, not trying to hard' kind of vibe. Neutral basics in loose silhouettes give the flared shape an easy modernity hallmark to fashion icons like Alexa Chung and Cara Delevigne.
