My New Very Favorite Sweater from ZARA
They say winter dressing is all about having chic outwear, and while I couldn't agree more, lately it's been too warm here for a coat! We're talkin' 60 degree days, people! I love these mild days because it gives me the opportunity to let my new very favorite sweater from Zara take center stage.
So, If you're a Zara junkie like me, you're aware of their biannual sales. Every January the amazing on-trend pieces I've been eyeing all fall become heavily discounted and I'm able to stock up on some uber cool styles. (My heart actually palpitates when I see the sales is live.) I love the clothes because an unexpected twist is always incorporated into sometime timeless and sophisticated. Take, for instance, this sweater. You can't go wrong with an oversized fisherman's style because it's the easiest thing to throw on over skinnies and boots. This one has a mode 60s vibe (which I'm really into lately) and while it's definitely got a lot of volume, it clings and hangs in the right spots. The 'twist' that caught my eye is the collar that ties at the back to close a deep teardrop opening.
Sweater: Zara (This color sold out, green still available) // Jeans: Asos // Boots: Madewell 'The Ollie' // Tote: J Crew 'Downing' // Sunglasses: Cole Haan // Headband: J Crew // Midi Ring: Capwell and Co. 'Gold Caged Triangle Knuckle Ring' // Watch: Daniel Wellington 'Classic Sheffield' // Bangle: J Crew 'Domed Bangle' // Other Bangles: Cost Plus World Market
I love how the back of the sweater ever so subtly accentuates the neck and shoulders and plays perfectly with a loose updo and headband. I'm kind of obsessed with headbands right now because they make messy hair (as pictured) feel deliberate and romantic.
I hope you're getting a little break in the winter weather and you're able to let your favorite sweaters take center stage too. Be cozy, friends, and thanks for stopping by!
