Daniel Wellington's Classic Sheffield Timepiece
When I think of words to describe the style I aspire to I usually arrive at 'classic', 'strong', and 'modern'. I was more than a little thrilled then when Daniel Wellington approached me about a collaboration because I'd use the same words to describe their watches.
I've been wearing a hyper masculine brass beast for a few years now. You too? It looks great with a stack of baubles and bangles spilling over its face, but lately the excitement of wrist excess has diminished for me. Jewelry, in general, seems to be moving toward the minimal. These days I find myself reaching for subtle cuffs and simple gold collars, and I desire a watch that echos that simplicity.
Today I'm wearing my brand new Daniel Wellington 'Classic Sheffield'. Do you love it? Do you need it? Seriously, it's my new go-to watch. I love the slightly over-sized circular face, the interchangeable leather strap (also interchangeable with a variety of stripey NATO straps), and the minimal design. It's an understated and welcomed departure from my brass beast.
I've seen some cheapies that mimic this beauty, but they aren't nearly as elegant and I won't even bother comparing craftsmanship. I want a watch that lasts and I know this one will. Look for it in upcoming posts - like I said, it's my new go-to!
