With all this holiday downtime on my hands, I've been indulging the explorer within and taking the back roads to find new and interesting scenic stretches hidden within and around the city. I found this old bridge on the outskirts of my neighborhood and despite the local quarry workers driving by in their Mac trucks, found myself pretty much alone and able to enjoy the serenity of the country. It was a great place for some much needed quiet and reflection.

After all the decadence of these past week it's time for me to look inward and re-ask myself the basic questions of life. Am I happy? Am I healthy? Is my family happy and healthy? And let's not forget the ever mind boggling (at least for me); What am I going to do with the rest of my life?! Am I destined to wander through my mind and this life for all my days? Reflection, man.

Zara Check Scarf

So, about my outfit... I finally got around to wearing this enormous checked scarf from Zara. Now is a really good time to shop the website: their after Christmas sale is one of my faves and they've got more than a few of these gems and most of their entire winter line marked down to  a manageable price point. Just about everything else I'm wearing came from a thrift store or Ebay. Bargains, man.
