I've always been deeply loyal to J Crew, but lately I've been getting into sister-store Madewell's laid back and and slitghly Parisian offerings. Take for instance this inconic white shirt dress. It's so well-made (haha... well-made from Madewell); so intricately seamed and cut with side pockets, a hidden placket, and a rounded hi-lo hem. Beyond being well made, this piece can do it all. Wear it to work with flats or a block heel. Wear it un-buttoned on the beach over a bikini. Wear it with jeans on the weekend as temps start to drop. I madly and deeply love this thing!

So how to accessorize this basic white shirtdress? Anyone else falling madly in love with bandanas right now? As I was getting dressed I first reached for a vintage silk scarf as the finishing touch, but the bandana caught my eye at the last second and I knew it was the fresher choice. I threw on my hat (another indispensable piece from Madewell), my biggest cateye sunglasses, and grabbed my perfectly worn in black leather tote. Ahhh, oui oui... tres Parisienne!
