Can you believe this jacket?! It's another thrift store find from my favorite spot down the street. It's pretty special - vintage, 100% wool (so very warm), and in impeccable condition. I think it goes without saying how popular buffalo check has become and I'm happy to admit I'm on the lumberjack bandwagon. It's association with Americana, outdoorsmen, and mountainous regions speaks directly to my soul. And it's pretty!

Nothwithstanding are my new favorite jeans, also also a staple of all things American. These are from J Crew's new Point Sur line. Made from selvedge denim, they're described as a boyfriend jean, but they fit and feel like a classic five pocket style. The denim is thicker and without a ton of stretch and the color is truer to old school denim (no grey or green tint). I'm a long time lover of Levi's 501s and these feel like an updated version of the classic. Seriously, these are quickly becoming my favorite jeans.
